Vol. 4 : A country with it's capital city

Assalamualaikum! hahh jawab2! tak jawab tidak mengapa, apakah dayaku untuk memaksa.. *ok pantun dua kerat yg sememangnya teruk*

Ok this is my 1st post AWAY from Mansoura, and I'm currently in Cairo, City of The Dead. Why is it called that way? u may "google" it on your own. Such a long story. Never think, never plan, never cross in my mind to be in Cairo today. It's started with a single call yesterday's morning, just after the Immuno lecture, asked for 'mushrif' to Cairo. Feel reluctant to go at first, but then thinking of their safety *girls travelling quite far to Cairo* Don't u think it's dangerous? with the Thaurah (demonstration) everywhere in Cairo recently. The latest news, at least 20 people reported killed so far due to several reason. Again, 'google' it by yourself. Too long to write down here.

The main point for this post actually is to share my point of view about Cairo and Egypt. A big city with a huge contribution to the Muslims all over the world. When we are talking about Egypt, absolutely the 1st thing might come to our mind is PYRAMID?or Al-Azhar university right? a well-known Islamic institution since 100++ years ago, producing all famous Islamic scholars till today. Even before Malaysia achieved its independence. Cairo, such a hectic, chaos, unsleep town, with peoples around u never stop making noise, vehicles keep honking *is that the right word?*, Sound Pollution simply enough to describe all the situation here. It's common in Egypt, but still Mansoura was better than Cairo in this particular thing. In term of the infrastructures, they are quite far behind other developing countries. There are not so many Skyscraper here. Unlike Malaysia, Dubai, Bahrain or Qatar having a famous tower as the country's main icon. People whom rarely come here might be wondering how the Malaysian + Indonesian + Chinese +Siamese etc able to cope with this kind of surrounding while pursuing their Islamic studies/Medicine. Even doing Master or PHD! Not to mention the people's manners. Those were considered as the bad sides of Cairo, BUT thats not all! Dont make an early assumption. For me, 1st year in Egypt, travelled a lot between Mansoura - Cairo have taught me so many thing. Starting from understanding the social  life here, the people's behaviour, their culture and current political issue after the Egypt's revolution last year. A part of those negative sides, I found out egyptian are not that bad. Of course there are some stupid racist egyptian here, "hungga bungga, ni hau", the most common tagline heard by the Malaysian everyday. Its really  really test your patience, but until some circumstances, its already nothing! Telinga pun dah tepu dah bak kata orang Melayu. Just let them to do what ever they want. Remind me to a famous quote from Imam Al- Ghazali :

"A Strong Man, not who strong in physical nor brave enough to fight, but a man who able to control the temper is."

Always remember this quote. We still can find any kind of bad people in Malaysia. At least people here in Egypt having much lower percentage of drug addict & HIV cases compared to Malaysia. Different place, different situation. Travel anywhere here in Cairo, perhaps in bus, Metro (a train) or Tremco (a public transport just like a mini van) u may have a chance to meet a polite, friendly arabian having a great background. I had once before talked to around 40's man beside me in tremco, a doctor teaching medicine in Cairo university! Where else u can find a "doctor" move around everyday using public transport?? Malaysia especially. Once in a blue moon. Maybe... He's so gentleman, speaking English very fluent *lepas tengok aku tergagap2 dengan bahasa Arab Tahun 1 lah katakan..malu nya ya Allah -.- * some advice I still remember he said to me before,"Misr (Egypt) is the centre of knowledge with a lot of barakah given by Allah. U may not see today, keep on searching and searching, later on u will get fall in love with this ancient city InsyaAllah"

There are too many Ibrah we can take from this country and it's capital city. Where ever we go, we need to cope with the surrounding by ourselves. Eventhough Egypt is the Muslim country, we as a Muslim also have to respect their various understanding/mazhab in Islam. We are  living in people's place. Most people nowadays keep on criticizing Egypt as being a 'Third world class country' with bad reputations. However, they never realize Egypt got a high potential in developing their economy, transportation, latest technology in all field within 20-30 Years!! Who believe in this?? With the majority of MPs in the Egypt's parliament today were among Para Hafiz Quran & Para pakar Hadis, PHD holder and expertize in various fields. In medicine field itself, a crowded of experts here in Egypt  until a stage where they don't need to hire any foreign lecturer to teach in medical schools. If and only if the RIGHT party rule/manage this country after the election and practicizing a good governance. This is my 1st year in Egypt. Can't imagine what I'm going to learn in future. Hoping for a better progress in 6 years ahead. InsyaAllah. Masih banyak hikmah dan Ilmu yang perlu dicari dan dirungkai daripada bumi Para Anbiya ini. The last reminder for today,, Surah Yusuf, verse 99 :

[12:100] And when they came to Joseph, he put up his parents with himself, and said, ‘Enter Egypt in peace, if it please Allah.’

Wallahu taala a'lam.Jzkkk~

p/s : For the time being, I'm still improving my English. Maybe there's a lot of grammatical errors. Who cares right? we are all in the 'learning' stage. Any comment/correction are well appreciated :))

  1. Assalamualaikum,

What I usually did earlier when I just started writing, were that I typed my posts/articles on Microsoft words first, to filter out all those errs, then I paste them at the blog.
